The User Voice and Participation (UVP) Team aims to ensure that children and young people who access Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) services in Surrey have a voice in the services that affect them.
The YES! Awards celebrates and showcases the achievements of the young people with additional needs and disabilities live or access services in Surrey. Young people also have the opportunity to nominate the professionals that have gone above and beyond to support them.
The members of SYAS facilitate the YES! Awards annually. The User Voice and Participation Team and SYAS love the opportunity to celebrate these achievements.
The yes awards is a wonderful evening where you enter the place where the yes awards are taking place. You check-in and get a goody bag, and go sit down at a table and watch the stage with some performances. After a bit the food comes out and people are called up for their award. When you are called up for your award you will get a medal and a certificate and time to get a photo and then you sit down and eat a bit more
